North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre (NSVSC), established in 2001, operates alongside the long-standing North Shore Veterinary Hospital (est. 1935) to provide seamless 24/7 care. With a dedicated team of specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff, NSVSC is recognised for gold-standard patient care and a collaborative, supportive workplace. The GP hospital manages first-opinion cases and walk-in emergencies, while NSVSC handles complex referrals, and oncology cases in partnership with ONE Cancer Care, and after-hours care, ensuring patients receive the right expertise at the right time.
Relocated in 2019 to a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility, NSVSC is equipped for advanced interventional procedures, strong ECC services, and dedicated anaesthesia support. About the Role
As an Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Specialist, you will lead the management of complex emergency and critical patients while delivering gold-standard care in a fast-paced referral environment. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, ECC veterinarians, and highly experienced veterinary nurses to support patients across all disciplines. This role is best suited to a board-certified or residency-trained ECC clinician with post-training clinical experience, offering opportunities to contribute to teaching, mentorship, and service development, while enjoying flexible work arrangements and the lifestyle benefits of living in Australia.

Requirements
- We are looking for a recognised Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Specialist with diplomate or equivalent status (ACVECC / FANZCVS). Residency-trained candidates will also be considered.
- Recognised and/or accredited undergraduate veterinary degree approved by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC).
- If required, successful completion of the National Veterinary Examination (NVE).
