“I worked with Cathy, Tracy and the team at Macquarie Vetz as a final year veterinary student and highly recommend the clinic as a supportive and progressive place to work. The vets are encouraging and patient teachers and I still regularly use advice and skills I learnt while there. The work vibe is relaxed and pleasant, the clinic practices a very high standard of care, and all the staff are really friendly. The clinic has all the latest gadgets you could want and appreciative clients who are keen to work up cases. The local area is great for food, beaches and outdoor activities.”

“I worked at Macquarie Vetz Animal Centre for 2 years and I would highly recommend anyone interested in small animal GP work to consider working here. Cathy and Tracy are extremely accommodating and caring to their staff and they are always happy to provide a helping hand and discuss cases. The nurses are lovely and are highly trained to assist with everything. The clinic offers a high standard of care and you are able to work cases up in house with idexx blood machines, ultrasound, radiographs (including dental) and more. The clinic hours are great for work life balance and there is no afterhours with a 24-hour referral hospital in Newcastle. Newcastle is an amazing place to live- there are numerous beaches, bushwalks, bike tracks, cafes/restaurants etc. “
