Practice Manager - Maternity Leave Contract

Salisbury Vet Surgery has a brilliant opportunity for an experienced vet nurse to cover a maternity leave contract – starting January 2026 to October 2026. The position can start earlier for the right candidate.

We’re a small animal practice located in South Brisbane, serving our community of pet lovers with a strong commitment to pet wellness, quality medicine and surgical care. We have two vets per day supported by our nursing team.

About The Role

The success of the practice manager is driven by their ability to co-ordinate the business, people, and services of the clinic.  The ideal candidate will thrive on:

•          Being highly engaged in customer experience and client loyalty activities

•          Managing the financial performance of the clinic, stock control, payroll and budgets

•          Leading on work health and safety compliance, facilities, equipment and maintenance

•          Fostering positive culture, team development and communication strategies

•          Enjoying projects and being a change champion

•          Working in partnership with the Lead Vet, Regional Manager and PM peers

•          Joining a great team that love what they do

About You

• Holds experience in a practice manager or senior vet nurse position
• Minimum of 3 years vet nursing experience post-graduation  
• Experience with practice management systems and clinical scheduling
• Possess strong problem solving, decision making and organisational skills
• A warm nurturing style with dynamic leadership qualities
