Full-time Veterinary Nurse / Receptionist – Chatswood Vetfriends

Chatswood Vetfriends is looking for a compassionate and capable Veterinary Nurse / Receptionist to join our team in a true dual-role position. This role offers a balanced mix of hands-on nursing and front-of-house client care.

About the Role
You’ll be an integral part of both the clinical and reception teams, supporting our veterinarians with patient care while also delivering a warm, professional experience for our clients. No two days are the same, and your ability to move confidently between nursing and reception will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians with consultations, procedures, and patient care

• Monitoring anaesthesia and providing post-operative care

• Preparing surgical and treatment areas

• Nursing hospitalised patients and administering treatments

• Greeting clients and managing appointment bookings

• Handling phone enquiries and providing client support

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records

• Coordinating patient flow between reception and treatment areas

About You

• Qualified or experienced Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV or equivalent preferred)

• Confident in both clinical nursing duties and client-facing reception work

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask

• A calm, compassionate approach to animal care

• A team player who thrives in a busy, collaborative environment
