About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse for a minimum 12-month fixed-term contract to join our dedicated Specialty Hospital and Emergency Care team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, ever-changing environment and enjoys managing a diverse and interesting caseload.
At BVSC, our dedicated hospital veterinarians manage emergency and urgent cases throughout the day. In this role, you will be involved in the care of hospitalised specialist patients, recovery of patients post-anaesthesia or sedation, triaging urgent and emergency cases, and assisting with critical care patients. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop and apply your specialty, emergency, and critical care skills within a supportive team.

Experience in specialty hospital, emergency, and/or critical care nursing
Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work both independently and within a team
Calm under pressure, with excellent prioritisation and time management skills

Committed to continuous learning and delivering gold-standard patient care
Brings a positive attitude and a sense of humour to the team

No public holidays (covered by a dedicated emergency team)

Requirements
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Minimum 4 years’ experience in clinical practice
Emergency and/or specialty experience highly regarded
Radiation Licence (desirable but not essential)
