Oncology Intern
Description
Veterinary Oncology Internship — Sydney
ONE Cancer Care for Pets is a collaborative network of leading veterinary oncology specialists. Our service is growing and we are looking for a motivated Veterinary Oncology Intern to join the team.
With facilities across Sydney, ONE operates within state-of-the-art hospitals equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasound, radiology, CT, MRI, and external beam radiation.
Our vision is to ensure that comprehensive oncological care is accessible to all pets and to lead advancements in animal cancer care through innovation and education.
About the role
This 12-month internship is a genuine immersion in clinical oncology. You'll work across both medical and radiation oncology, managing a high-volume and diverse caseload under close specialist supervision. Day to day, you'll be involved in case workup, treatment planning, chemotherapy administration, radiation therapy protocols, and client communication.
You'll be part of a dedicated team consisting of one dual diplomate in Medical and Radiation Oncology, senior oncology clinician, and a current intern, meaning you'll receive close mentorship and hands-on clinical involvement throughout the internship. The position rotates across our three Sydney locations: ONE Cancer Care for Pets - Concord, North Shore Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre, and The Pet Specialists.
For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway into a medical oncology residency at the conclusion of the internship.
