We are seeking a Workforce Planning Optimisation Manager to play a critical role in strengthening how labour is forecast, managed, and optimised to perform at its best across our network. This is a high-impact position working closely with senior operational leaders to drive smarter workforce decisions, improve efficiency, and support sustainable clinic performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Business Integration, you will sit at the intersection of operations, data, and workforce strategy. You will partner with General Managers, Regional Managers, and clinic leaders to embed consistent workforce planning practices, improve system capability, and provide meaningful insights that drive action.
From forecasting demand and modelling scenarios to improving rostering practices and reducing labour inefficiencies, you will directly influence how our clinics operate day to day.
Ultimately, your work will ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time, supporting better patient care, stronger team experiences, and improved business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Analytics & Forecasting
Analyse clinic performance data to identify trends and cost opportunities
Forecast workforce demand based on seasonality, growth, and new services
Build scenario models to support strategic workforce decisions
Labour Cost Optimisation
Monitor labour-to-revenue ratios and performance benchmarks
Identify and reduce overtime and locum reliance
Support incentive and bonus structures aligned to productivity
Workforce Reporting & Governance
Deliver weekly, monthly, and ad hoc workforce insights to senior leaders
Develop dashboards tracking key KPIs (utilisation, vacancies, compliance)
Drive consistency in rostering, timesheets, and workforce processes
Operational & Strategic Initiatives
Lead key workforce projects
Support rollout and adoption of optimised base rosters
Partner with teams across operations, finance, and data to deliver improvements
Scheduling & Capability Building
Standardise rostering practices across clinics
Develop tools, guides, and playbooks to support teams
Build workforce planning capability at clinic and regional level
About You
You are a data-driven operator and strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments. You’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions through insight and leveraging your broad experience.
You will bring:
Experience in workforce planning, analytics, or operational optimisation
Strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Experience with forecasting, scenario modelling, and workforce metrics
Proven ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams
Understanding of labour cost drivers and operational KPIs
Experience with workforce systems (e.g. Humanforce, Emplive) highly regarded
