Part-time Oncology Nurse

The Oncology Network for Excellence (ONE) is the leading comprehensive cancer service in Australia, dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes for their patients and clients. They pride themselves on providing a true comprehensive and collaborative approach to veterinary oncology with services across Sydney.

Our oncology team are looking for a dedicated oncology nurse who enjoy working collaboratively with their team, as well as other specialists within our broader community. Part-time or casual opportunities available. 

Duties would include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining client relationships
• In-hospital patient care alongside the referral oncology team
• Administering chemotherapy under veterinary supervision
• Dispensing veterinary prescribed chemotherapy drugs
• Updating chemotherapy flowcharts
• Pathology and histopathology laboratory coordination

What are we needing from you:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• Minimum of two years veterinary nursing experience in a busy clinic. Previous oncology or referral experience is preferred
• Excellent intravenous skills and proficient in anaesthesia induction and monitoring under veterinary supervision
• Understanding of cytotoxic substances and procedures
• Passionate about providing gold standard patient care
• Empathetic client and patient rapport
