About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Surgical team, working 3 x 9.5-hour shifts per week. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on surgical nursing, thrives in a dynamic environment, and values working within a supportive, team-focused setting.
You will work closely with specialist surgeons, nurses, and nurse assistants to support a diverse surgical caseload. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, CT scans, and procedures; monitoring anaesthesia; and preparing and maintaining theatre and prep areas.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of procedures, including:
Fluoroscopy
Arthroscopy
Laparoscopy
Soft tissue surgery
Surgical oncology
Orthopaedic surgery
Emergency procedures

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings strong surgical nursing skills along with a positive and proactive approach:
Experience in surgical and/or anaesthesia nursing – specialty experience desired
Confident in anaesthetic monitoring and patient preparation
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
A team player who communicates well and contributes positively to team culture
Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous learning

Requirements
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Minimum 4 years’ experience in clinical practice
Previous experience in surgical nursing (preferred)
Anaesthesia experience highly regarded
Radiation Licence (desirable but not essential)
