The Role
 
Southpaws is excited to announce a prestigious pportunity for an ECVS-endorsed surgical residency.This program is designed for veterinarians who are passionate about advancing their surgical skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.
 
As an ECVS surgical resident at Southpaws, you will work closely with our experienced Multidisciplinary team, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with complex cases and advanced surgical techniques. The residency offers unparalleled opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and development, making it the ideal next step for any veterinarian committed to excellence in small animal surgery.

What We’re Looking For
  • A veterinary degree registerable in Victoria
  • Previous rotating or surgical internship completion
  • Two years of prior experience in general practice is desireable but not essential
  • Previous publications or have already commenced a research project is desireable but not essential
  • A genuine desire to be a part of our team practising the highest standards in veterinary care
  • Passion and self-motivation for continuing education
  • Professional and positive outlook
