We are expanding our services to offer professional grooming in a safe, clean, and caring environment, and we’re looking for an experienced Pet Groomer to join our clinic team. As a groomer in our veterinary setting, you’ll work alongside our experienced veterinary professionals to provide top-notch grooming services with a focus on pet health and comfort.
 
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our clinic and provide grooming services to pets in a veterinary environment. You will play a key role in supporting the health and wellness of our patients while offering grooming services such as bathing, trimming, and nail care. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in pet grooming techniques, have a love for animals, and have the ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians and other clinic staff.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform professional grooming services including bathing, cutting, brushing, and nail trimming for dogs and cats.
  • Assess pets for signs of health issues such as skin conditions, parasites, or injuries, and communicate findings to veterinary staff
  • Provide advice to pet owners on grooming needs, aftercare, and overall pet hygiene
  • Ensure pets are comfortable and relaxed throughout the grooming process
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area in compliance with veterinary clinic standards
  • Work closely with veterinary staff to ensure a holistic approach to pet care
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a pet groomer, preferably with experience in a veterinary setting
  • Ability to safely handle and groom pets of all sizes and temperaments
  • Solid understanding of grooming techniques, tools, and products, including knowledge of breed-specific styles
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with pet owners and clinic staff
  • Ability to spot health concerns and communicate them to the veterinarian
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to clinic procedures and policies
  • Certification in pet grooming is a plus, but not required
