Veterinary GP Liaison Officer
Description
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Veterinary GP Liaison Officer (GPLO) to join our team at VetPartners and strengthen engagement between General Practice veterinarians and our Specialty, Emergency and Critical Care hospitals.
VetPartners is Australia and New Zealand’s leading veterinary care network, bringing together a community of over 270 individual clinics and 10 specialty hospitals. As our GPLO, you will act as a strategic bridge between the wider veterinary community and support North Shore Veterinary Hospital, ONE Cancer Services and Animal Orthopaedic Services, driving referral growth, enhancing client outcomes, and supporting the transformation of our model of care.
Reporting to the Operations Director – Specialty & Emergency NSW & QLD, you will be responsible for driving demand through increased emergency presentations and specialist referrals while building strong, productive relationships with GPs, practice managers and key referrers. You will actively promote our specialist capabilities with clear, measurable commercial outcomes, while supporting the ongoing evolution of referral pathways and patient-centred care. Working in close partnership with GPs, hospital leadership teams and the VetPartners Support Office, you will ensure alignment, clarity of proposition and sustainable growth across the network, playing a key role in shaping the future of veterinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Build and grow strong referral relationships across the GP network
Drive demand through targeted engagement and service promotion
Lead CPD and educational initiatives to strengthen clinical partnerships
Analyse referral data and market trends to identify growth opportunities
Collaborate with hospital leaders, GP Regional Managers and Support Office teams to deliver aligned, sustainable growth
About You
You are a credible communicator with executive presence and strong commercial acumen. You understand growth drivers, thrive in complex environments and are energised by building strategic partnerships. Influential, resilient and highly organised, you are confident engaging senior stakeholders and delivering measurable outcomes.
You’ll bring
5+ years in sales, marketing or stakeholder engagement
Strong CRM capability and data-driven mindset
Demonstrated success driving commercial results
Veterinary or healthcare industry experience is highly regarded.
