Veterinary Nurse | Corio Veterinary Clinic | Part‑Time
A clinic with history. A team with heart. A role where your nursing skills are truly valued.
About the Clinic
Corio Veterinary Clinic has been caring for the local community for almost 50 years and is proud to be a trusted, well‑established part of the region. We’re a close‑knit team of 4 vets and 5 veterinary nurses, delivering high‑quality small animal care with a strong focus on teamwork, support, and genuine connection – both with each other and our loyal clients.
Our clinic is modern, well‑equipped, and known for being calm, friendly, and drama‑free. People stay here because they feel supported, respected, and part of something that works.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced, all‑rounder Part‑Time Veterinary Nurse, with a minimum of 16 hours per week across 3–4 days, and additional hours initially available to cover maternity leave.
This is a hands‑on nursing role where your skills will be used daily across surgery, hospital care, nurse consults, and reception – with plenty of variety and support from a genuinely collaborative team.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting vets across anaesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, and patient care
• Confident anaesthetic monitoring and hospitalised patient care
• Assisting with procedures including radiology, blood draws, and IV catheter placement
• Running nurse consults and delivering warm, professional client communication
• Reception duties including appointment scheduling and client queries
• Maintaining a clean, organised clinic and jumping in wherever needed
• Working part‑time with flexibility and additional hours available during maternity leave cover
What We’re Looking For
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (required)
• Experience as a confident, capable all‑rounder veterinary nurse
• Strong skills in anaesthetic monitoring and general nursing procedures
• Comfortable working across surgery, hospital, and reception
• A calm, proactive approach in a fast‑paced clinic
• A team‑first mindset with positive energy and reliability
• Excellent communication skills and genuine care for clients and patients
