Vet Nurse
Description
Veterinary Nurse | Sunbury Animal Hospital | Part-Time
A long‑standing community clinic, a genuinely supportive team, and a role you can see yourself staying in.
Are you a Veterinary Nurse looking for your forever clinic? Sunbury Animal Hospital is looking for a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our passionate nursing team. If you love gold‑standard patient care, enjoy learning, and want to feel supported at work every day — this could be the role you’ve been waiting for.
About the Clinic
Sunbury Animal Hospital has been proudly caring for the local community for over 40 years, building strong relationships with loyal pet owners who truly value high‑quality veterinary care. We are a purpose‑built hospital with a warm, collaborative culture and a team that genuinely enjoys working together.
Our clinic is well equipped with modern facilities, including large consulting rooms, a spacious treatment area, a sterile theatre, DR digital radiography, IM3 dental units, diagnostic and Doppler ultrasound, multi‑parameter anaesthesia monitoring, and even a pet ambulance.
Our nurses play a vital role in everything we do — clinically, collaboratively, and culturally.
About the Role
This role is suited to a qualified Veterinary Nurse with 2+ years’ experience who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to patient and client care. You’ll be supported by a skilled team of nurses and veterinarians who love to collaborate, share knowledge, and celebrate wins together.
Work‑life balance genuinely matters here. We offer roster flexibility, no after‑hours work, and no Sundays, so you can enjoy your life outside the clinic as much as your time at work.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
• Flexible rosters to support work‑life balance
• No after hours and no Sunday work
• A supportive, fun, and collaborative team environment
• Weekly team lunches focused on training, learning, or celebrating wins
• Access to free training and workshops through the Veterinary Training Centre
• A loyal, appreciative client base
• A strong focus on wellbeing and team support
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting veterinarians across consultations, surgery, dentistry, and patient care
• Delivering gold‑standard nursing care and anaesthetic monitoring
• Providing excellent client communication and education
• Assisting with diagnostics, procedures, and general nursing duties
• Working as part of a close‑knit, highly skilled nursing team
• Contributing to a positive, supportive, and fun workplace culture
What We’re Looking For
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2+ years’ clinical nursing experience
• A passion for high standards of patient care and learning
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A team‑first mindset with a positive, proactive attitude
• Good organisation and time‑management skills
• A genuine desire to grow and develop within a supportive clinic
