About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will be the driving force behind the clinic’s operational and cultural success. You will confidently lead the business, people, and performance of the hospital while fostering a positive, high-performing team environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing all clinic operations, procedures, communications, and business services
Leading all people management functions including recruitment, workforce planning, rostering, performance management, training, development, and team wellbeing
Elevating customer experience through client engagement initiatives, marketing, digital presence, complaint resolution, and loyalty strategies
Managing financial performance including budgeting, profit and loss, procurement, stock control, and accounts
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, as well as maintaining high standards in facilities, equipment, and presentation
Partnering closely with Clinical Leaders to uphold clinical governance, innovation, and strategic direction
Collaborating with the Regional Manager to drive performance, lead change initiatives, and implement company projects and technology
Demonstrating transparent, collaborative leadership that inspires engagement and accountability
About You
You are a confident, motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys supporting teams to succeed.
You will bring:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a practice leadership or Head Nurse role within a veterinary or animal-related setting
A strong commitment to service excellence and high standards of clinical care
Confidence with practice management systems and appointment scheduling
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Solid understanding of employment obligations and workplace health and safety requirements
Experience in, or enthusiasm for, change management and project leadership
A genuine, warm leadership style with a passion for supporting people who care for animals
