Clinical Lead Veterinarian
Description
Hervey Bay Vet would love to welcome a new lead vet to our team. The vet who founded our practice is retiring and we need a veterinarian who is keen to step into their shoes. Our lead vet would consult, do surgery, radiography and dentals with the assistance of our skilled nurses and techs, as well as guide and advise our current team of veterinary professionals.
The vet we are looking for would have the leadership skills and experience required to oversee patient and client care, as well as liaising with our practice manager to help make business based decisions. They would also work well with our current veterinarians and provide guidance when needed.
Our lead vet would work a four weekday roster with the same RDO each week and would work on a rotating Saturday roster with our other vets. They would also be required to help with afterhours, where they would be supported by an on call nurse.
Hervey Bay Vet Surgery is a well equipped, up-to-date clinic. With five consultation rooms, two theatres, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray and separate treatment and surgical prep areas, we have the potential to achieve great things. We have a dedicated front of house team, which allows our skilled nurses and techs to focus on patient care.
If you don't know much about Hervey Bay, here are some facts... Hervey Bay is 285 kilometers north of Brisbane. We have a lovely community with beautiful beaches and plenty of cafes, restaurants, gyms and major shopping retailers. We have an 868m pier, regular markets, great walking tracks and are the closest city to Fraser Island. Our humpback whales visit annually and are an absolute delight to go out and see. Hervey Bay is a popular spot for keen anglers, divers and for people who love water based activities and the great outdoors.
The team at Hervey Bay Vet are fun and welcoming. We have clinic dress up days and group activities outside work, which are planned by our wellness team. Our team members are all very important to us, so we make employee wellbeing and work-life balance a priority. We understand that when you live in such a beautiful place, you need time to enjoy it and we are willing to work with that.
