The Role

As Head Veterinary Nurse, you will lead by example — bringing strong clinical skills, organisation, and a calm, supportive approach to the team.

  • Lead and coordinate surgical days

  • Mentor and support the nursing team

  • Maintain exceptional clinical and patient care standards

  • Provide hands-on surgical and hospital nursing

  • Confident & experienced in anaesthesia monitoring, IV placement, and blood collection

  • Assist with imaging and dental procedures, including performing dental radiography

  • Performing triage service and standard nurse consultations

  • Assist with stock control and support the Practice Manager with general clinic operations

About You

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (experienced uncertified nurses considered)

  • Minimum 3 years’ veterinary nursing experience

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not essential

  • Confident across surgery, anaesthesia, imaging, and hospital care

  • Passionate about patient care, teamwork, and mentoring others
