Are you a passionate, skilled Vet Nurse who loves what you do? We’re looking for a Part-time Vet Nurse to join our talented and dynamic team at Launceston Vet Clinic.

Launceston Veterinary Clinic has been providing a high standard of up-to-date and professional pet health care for the last 46 years. We see a variety of cases from dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds.

We have a collaborative, supportive and passionate team of Vets and Vet Nurses who aim to provide gold standard care to our patients and ensures each client feels supported and heard.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified Veterinary Nurse with relevant certifications.

• Strong experience in nursing and handling a variety of cases.

• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

• A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets.

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

About The Role 

• Provide exceptional customer care and education to our clients

• Support our Vets with routine examinations, diagnostics and procedures

• Manage the admission and discharge of surgical and hospital cases

• Provide surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics

• Conduct blood collection and testing, iv catheter placement

• Prepare and administer medications as required

• Assist with x-rays, ultrasounds and dental procedures

• Maintain surgical and treatment areas infection control

• Provide pre and post compassionate care to hospitalised cases

• General day to day nursing duties.
