Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Macquarie Park, NSW (Hybrid: 4 days in-office)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our Financial Controls team. In this dynamic role, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work with external consultants to coordinate and lead the tax and reporting compliance activities of the business and drive the development, implementation and maintenance of robust taxation reporting procedures, processes and controls. Your ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment will be key to your success.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage relationships with external service providers (auditors, tax consultants, registry and revenue offices) to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Prepare and lodge direct and indirect tax compliance documents, including audits, employee share schemes, company tax returns, FBT, GST, payroll tax, and stamp duty
  • Review and maintain franking and dividend imputation credit accounts across the group and subsidiaries
  • Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on all federal and state taxes
  • Communicate tax changes and deliver technical training to business units as needed
  • Develop internal processes and reports for tax reporting and audit purposes
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data collection and reporting
 
What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years’ experience in a high-volume, multi-site tax role with exposure to Australian and New Zealand tax regulations
  • CA / CPA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong collaboration and change management capabilities
  • Proven team leadership and employee management experience
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and reconciliation accuracy
