Are you a seasoned Veterinary Nurse ready to step into leadership, or an experienced Practice Manager looking for your next challenge?

PETVET Lower Hutt has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Practice Manager to lead our talented team and support the continued success of our thriving clinic.

Our purpose-built 400m² facility provides both first opinion and referral services to the Wellington and Wairarapa regions. Equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities, including digital radiography, a spacious ultrasound suite, two sterile theatres and a non-sterile theatre, you'll be leading a team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

What We're Looking For

  • A confident and approachable people leader who can motivate, mentor and support team performance

  • Previous leadership or management experience within veterinary, healthcare or a customer-focused environment. Veterinary Nurse experience is ideal, but not essential

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • A proactive approach to rostering, workflow management and team development

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members and suppliers

  • Commercial awareness and an interest in driving practice performance

  • A hands-on attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed

The Role Includes

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the clinic

  • Managing rostering, administration, stock control and facility requirements

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and team development

  • Conducting team meetings, training initiatives and performance reviews

  • Driving engagement, wellbeing, health and safety initiatives

  • Working closely with leadership to achieve operational and financial goals

  • Fostering a culture focused on exceptional client and patient care
