Associate Veterinarian

Kingston Veterinary Hospital Mentone, VIC Full time RR-7150

Description

Join Kingston Veterinary Hospital – Where Excellence Meets Support!

Kingston Veterinary Hospital is a busy, well-equipped & fast paced animal hospital located a stone's throw from the beach in Bayside, Mentone.

We’re a lively team focused on delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and friendly environment. Our clinic thrives with a strong emphasis on professional growth, teamwork, and patient well-being.

With a high support to Vet ratio, we pride ourselves on an environment where our Vets can grow and focus on their patient care. Our exceptional leadership team ensures all aspects of management, rostering & financials are covered so your focus can be solely on medicine.

We’re also not your average GP clinic - in fact we regularly work up complex medial cases, perform advanced soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. With access to X-ray, dental X-ray, electro cautery, endoscope, in-house pathology and ultrasound, we’re able to provide more than the standard GP clinic can. We also work as a team and have daily rounds so that everyone has an opportunity to discuss their cases & ask for help.

You will always be supported by other Vets & Nurses. We're not 'normal' but our bunch of oddballs are passionate about exceptional Veterinary care and being happy at work and we think we've pretty much nailed that combo.

What makes us different?

  • No Sole Charge: Always supported by a team of experienced vets and nurses.

  • Advanced Equipment: Access to X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and more.

  • Complex Cases: Work up and treat advanced medical, soft tissue, and orthopaedic cases.

  • Collaborative Environment: Daily rounds to discuss cases and share knowledge.

  • No After-Hours or Sundays: Enjoy a work-life balance with no after-hours commitments.

What we offer:

  • Full-time hours with a competitive salary

  • Continuing education and study leave

  • Access to training through our purpose-built Veterinary Training Centres

  • Supportive senior vet team for guidance and learning

  • A team of skilled nurses to assist with procedures and patient care

What we’re looking for:

  • BVSc or equivalent and Victorian registration

  • 3+ years of experience in small animal veterinary practice

  • Commitment to exceptional patient care

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Business acumen (understanding fees and practice running costs)

  • A sense of humour!
