Are you an experienced Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian looking for a fixed-term locum contract or flexible casual shifts in a high-acuity referral setting?

Do you enjoy managing complex cases such as GDVs, snake envenomations, tick paralysis, and trauma — but want the support of ECC specialists and a full referral team to deliver the best possible patient outcomes?

Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital is seeking experienced ECC Veterinarians to join our multidisciplinary team on either a 3–6 month locum contract or casual basis, depending on your availability and preferences.

About You

• 3+ years of emergency practice experience (preferred)

• Confidence managing emergency presentations and performing emergency procedures (or strong motivation to develop these skills with specialist support)

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

• A genuine passion for ECC and high-quality patient care

• Interest in teaching and mentoring is welcomed — we are a University of Melbourne core rotation site
