Your New Chapter
As a Training Assistant focused on Workshop Coordination, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our training workshops. You will be responsible for a range of tasks from cadaver preparation to administrative duties, ensuring all sessions run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Coordination:
- Cadaver Preparation: Prepare cadavers in accordance with the VTC Procedure – Cadaver Management policy.
- Equipment Setup: Set up all required equipment and resources for the workshops.
- WHS Induction: Conduct Workplace Health and Safety inductions and obtain signed WHS agreements from each attendee.
- Welcome Address: Deliver welcome addresses to attendees and introduce educators.
- Catering Management: Order, set out, and clean up catering for workshops.
- Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact on the day for any general inquiries from attendees and educators.
- Training Support: Assist educators with the delivery of training content as required.
- Workshop Cleanup: Oversee and support attendees with re-bagging cadavers and cleaning equipment at the conclusion of each workshop.
General Responsibilities:
- Stock Management: Perform stocktake and ordering of consumables and general supplies at the end of each workshop.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle general administrative tasks to support workshop operations.
- Cadaver Audit Log: Maintain the cadaver audit log in accordance with the VTC Procedure – Cadaver Management policy.
- Quarterly Stocktake: Conduct quarterly consumables stocktake.
- Ad Hoc Support: Assist the Learning and Development team with ad hoc tasks as needed.
Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a veterinary discipline.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive materials with care and discretion.
