Lead Veterinarian
Description
Are you an experienced veterinarian ready to step into a respected Lead Veterinarian role within a stable, supportive clinic? Vetwest Wanneroo is seeking a Lead Vet who enjoys both consulting and surgery, values collaboration, and wants to mentor and lead within an already high-functioning team — without inheriting a clinic that needs fixing.
About Vetwest Wanneroo
Vetwest Wanneroo is a long-established clinic located close to Wanneroo Central Shopping Centre and Lake Joondalup, offering a relaxed, community-focused environment with strong client relationships and excellent team longevity.
You will be joining a highly experienced and settled team of four veterinarians, supported by an exceptionally strong nursing cohort. The Practice Manager is also a nurse, the Head Nurse has been with the clinic for 20 years, and of our ten nurses most have between 10 and 20 years’ tenure. The clinic consistently rosters a minimum of three vets per day, ensuring strong support, collaboration, and sustainable workloads.
The culture is social, relaxed, and professional — the team enjoys small social events, games during meetings, and regular catch-ups while maintaining high clinical standards.

Facilities include:
- 3 consult rooms
- Separate cat and dog waiting areas
- Large waiting room and dedicated vet office
- In-house Idexx lab + blood gas
- Wet table and separate theatre
