Ourvets Halswell is a well-established small animal practice who pride ourselves on giving great standards of care to both our patients and our clients. We are a close-knit and caring team who work hard and enjoy a good laugh along the way.
 
About the role and clinic
  • We are looking for a Small Animal Vet to join our wonderful team of experienced vets, a strong nursing team and dedicated practice manager.  Our existing team of vets have nearly 50 years experience between them!
  • We encourage career growth and development, developing special interests or being fantastically all rounded general practitioners
  • You'll enjoy a good balance of consults and surgeries
  • This full-time role offers flexibility between 35-40 hours per week including 1 in 4 Saturdays.
  • Our clinic is well equipped complete with ultrasound, x-ray and in-house lab. 
  • We have a spacious set up including separate dental suite, surgical theatre and prep room. We are also excited to be getting laparoscopic equipment for keyhole surgery in 2025!
  • OurVets Halswell collaborate closely with our wider OurVets group - with regular meetings and CPD events.
  • We are a community focused clinic and enjoy engaging with our local community - we are based in a wonderful growing suburb with great clientele and some lovely local walks/parks close enough for a lunchtime stroll.

We are looking for a passionate Small Animal Vet with:
 
  • BVSc qualification (or equivalent) and registered, or eligibility to register to practice in New Zealand is required.
  • 2+ years of Small Animal Veterinarian experience, comfortable with routine surgery and consultations
