Are you looking for a change? Belconnen Animal Hospital in the northern suburbs of Canberra is growing and looking for an additional vet nurse to join our team.
We are a growing practice that aims to provide the best possible care commensurate with our client’s wishes. Canberra has a generally very well off, very well-educated population and our clients are very willing to provide their pets with the best possible care.
We value our nurses at Belconnen Animal Hospital and provide them with a lot of responsibilities to make their job more rewarding. Our nurses place IV lines, induce anaesthesia, intubate and monitor anaesthesia, they perform dentals, scrub into surgery, take radiographs and contribute to consultations. We also encourage and financially support our nurses to further their skills through ongoing education.
The ideal candidate should first and foremost have a great sense of humour and relaxed attitude! We are a close-knit team here, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and all enjoy coming to work, and we look forward to working with someone of a similar mindset. You should also have a desire to provide a top level of care to our very willing clientele. As well as a willingness to contribute to the growing of the practice; we are a team, and we like to have everyone’s input on how they think we can improve the practice.
Preferably we would be after a nurse with experience in the industry, but will consider driven junior vet nurses who are looking to grow and learn. Above award pay, especially for experienced nurses.
