Balwyn Central Veterinary Hospital is an ASAVA accredited, small animal veterinary practice, providing compassionate veterinary care to our community. A modern and spacious practice on the corner of Whitehorse Road with a well-equipped digital radiology suite, diagnostic ultrasound, digital dental radiography, in-house blood analyser, 1 sterile surgery suite, and a dental procedure area.   
 
We are looking for a highly motivated, Lead Veterinarian to join our team of 4 Veterinarians and nursing support staff who are committed to medical and surgical excellence in an empathetic, bubbly and friendly environment. We offer interesting, diverse, and challenging cases, with manageable caseloads and a commitment to maintaining a healthy Work-Life Balance. 
  
Balwyn Central Vet is surrounded by cafes, health and fitness studios and is only a short drive (or walk on a sunny day) to Camberwell junction where you can get your weekly shopping spree in.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following: 
  
  • BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in Victoria. 
  • A confident Veterinarian with at least 5 years’ practical experience. 
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development. 
  • Ability to plan and strategise to reach clinical goals
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of the team. 
  • Passion to drive exceptional standards of care throughout a team.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship building skills. 
  • A good sense of humour and willingness to contribute to a fun working environment.
