Description

🐾 Veterinary Nurse Wanted 🐾

Location: Vetwest Armadale-Byford

Full-time position available

Are you a veterinary nurse who thrives in a positive, close-knit team environment where your contributions truly matter? Do you love being hands-on in surgery, as well as connecting with clients and their pets? If so, we’d love to meet you!

We are a corporate-owned clinic with a small-clinic heart — a team of passionate professionals who work closely together, support each other through the busy days, and celebrate the wins (big and small) along the way. Although we’re part of a larger network, our team remains tight and connected, maintaining the warmth and camaraderie of a local practice.

On any given day, you’ll be working alongside 1.5–2 vets and 3 experienced nurses, creating a collaborative environment where everyone’s input is valued. Our nurses are trusted and empowered, playing an essential role in all aspects of patient care, surgery, client service, and practice operations.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is not only technically capable but also brings a genuine passion for nursing and teamwork.

You’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a qualified veterinary nurse

  • Confidence and skill in surgical nursing, anaesthetic monitoring, and patient care

  • Strong communication and people skills for client interactions

  • A friendly, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed

  • A love for animals and a desire to provide them with the best possible care

Why Join Us?

We’re proud to offer more than just a job — we offer a supportive and enjoyable work environment where you can truly thrive.

Here’s what makes our clinic special:

  • A genuinely supportive team culture — we’ve got each other’s backs

  • The chance to work closely with vets who value your input and trust your skills

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities to keep growing in your role

  • Regular team lunches, and a healthy respect for work-life balance

  • A wide variety of cases that will keep you learning and engaged

  • Close relationship with local wildlife rescues

We believe in empowering our nurses to be their best — in surgery, at reception, in consults, and everywhere in between.

If you’re looking for a role where you’ll be respected, supported, and encouraged to grow, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and cover letter.
