Figtree Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Nurse to join our small team of young, passionate & supportive people. Located in Lane Cove on the Lower North Shore, we maintain a loyal and returning client base, many of which are insured, enabling us to offer and provide as close to “gold standard” care as possible.

We provide a friendly and supportive work environment to help our nurses strive towards and realise their full potential, using their technical skills and knowledge daily.

Nursing duties include, but are not limited to:

• Personable and professional customer service.
• Surgical patient monitoring and recovery
• General anaesthesia maintenance (in-depth training will be provided).
• Performing triage service, standard nurse consultations, and animal restraint.
• Venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement and blood sample collection.
• Veterinary consultation assistance.
• Some reception duties as required.
• Stock rotation & control. 

Our ideal candidate:

• Holds a Veterinary Nurse Cert IV qualification - however, exceptional uncertified candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Has a minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• Supports our clinic values - empathy, compassion, integrity, and excellence.
• Organised, efficient and able to multi-task within a veterinary environment.
• Has the ability to work within the team, and independently where required.
• Enjoys a challenge and a varied caseload.
• Computer literate (Rx works experience is advantageous).

We can provide a great work life balance with a flexible roster between the opening hours of 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday. The clinic is closed for weekends and public holidays. Training will be provided where required. Pay rate is above award and reflective of your skills and experience.
