Qualified Vet Nurse
Description
Veterinary Nurse | Peninsula Vet Care - Rosebud | Full-Time
Experienced surgical nursing, a supportive team, and no Sundays or after-hours.
About the Clinic
Peninsula Vet Care has been caring for animals on the Mornington Peninsula for over 40 years. What began with our first clinics in Mt Eliza and Dromana has grown into a five-clinic group stretching from Mt Eliza through to Rye Beach. Through ongoing renovations, investment in new technologies, and highly skilled teams, we are proud to deliver a consistently high standard of care across all our clinics.
With shared patient histories across all locations, our teams have immediate access to the information they need to deliver timely, informed care when it matters most.
All of our teams work closely with each other, to learn new skills, help each other out while caring for our patients. The team really does make it easier to deal with the stressful times, and make sure you are having fun every day.
This role is based at our Rosebud clinic.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our Rosebud team in a full-time position. This is a hands-on role with a strong surgical focus, suited to a nurse who thrives in theatre and takes pride in being a steady, calming presence during procedures.

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting vets across surgery, anaesthesia and patient care
• Acting as a reliable, organised presence in theatre - the vet’s trusted third hand
• Preparing patients and equipment ahead of surgical procedures
• Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting post-operative recovery
• Assisting with general nursing and day-to-day clinic support
• Sharing your knowledge and experience to help develop others
• Working a 38-hour week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays
• No after-hours
What We’re Looking For
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Previous clinical nursing experience
• Strong surgical nursing skills and confidence in theatre
• The ability to stay organised, calm and proactive in a busy environment
• A team-first mindset and willingness to support and mentor others
• Reliable, professional communication with both colleagues and clients
