Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital is a leading specialist and emergency service located on Victoria's beautiful Mornington Peninsula. As our emergency service continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join the team.

This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative referral environment, managing a diverse and rewarding caseload while enjoying an exceptional coastal lifestyle just over an hour from Melbourne.

About the role

Our unique location delivers a caseload unlike anywhere else combining the diverse presentations of a regional community with the advanced facilities and specialist support of a metropolitan referral hospital. From trauma and toxicities to complex medical and surgical emergencies, no two shifts are the same.

With a dedicated emergency service, referral surgery team, and attached GP clinic under one roof, the patients you see are true emergencies. You'll have access to advanced diagnostics, specialist support, and the resources needed to deliver the highest standard of care.

You'll work alongside an ECC registrar, a dedicated team of emergency veterinarians, highly skilled emergency and referral nurses and our specialist surgical referral team.

Our purpose-built facility has been designed to support collaboration, clinical excellence, and ongoing professional development. We foster a culture where communication, teamwork, and continuous learning are valued as highly as exceptional patient care.

About you

• Veterinarian eligible for registration in Victoria

• 2+ years in emergency practice - you are comfortable with sole charge and thrive in an emergency environment

• A passion for emergency & critical care medicine

• Holds a MANZCVS in ECC or is working towards membership (highly regarded but not essential)

• Communicates confidently with both clients and colleagues
