Gladesville Veterinary Hospital – Part-Time Veterinarian

Join a large, well-equipped hospital that goes beyond GP-level care, offering advanced diagnostics and treatment options. We’re seeking an experienced Part-Time Veterinarian (5+ years) who enjoys a varied caseload, thrives in a collaborative team, and is keen to mentor and support others.

About Us:

Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, purpose-built clinic located on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. We’re proud to offer services that extend beyond general practice, including:

  • Complex dental procedures

  • Nuclear medicine treatments (training provided)

  • Trigger point therapy

  • Advanced imaging (ultrasound and digital x-ray)

  • Wildlife care and hospitalisation

  • Boarding services

Our hospital features:

  • 6 consult rooms

  • 2 dedicated surgical suites

  • In-house pathology

We’re a busy, high-performing clinic with a loyal client base and a strong reputation for quality care. With a team of 30 staff, including 7 vets, you’ll be supported by experienced colleagues in a genuinely collaborative environment.

The Role:

This is a part-time position (2–4 days per week) with flexibility across a rotating roster, including:

  • Consulting

  • Surgery

  • Hospital/inpatient care

  • Occasional Saturday shifts (shared across the team)

This role is ideal for a vet who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a larger team, without the demands of full-time hours.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in small animal practice

  • Confident, efficient, and capable of working autonomously

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration

  • Interest in mentoring or supporting less experienced vets

  • Openness to learning new skills (e.g. nuclear medicine)

  • Experience with RxWorks and Smartflow (desirable, not essential)
