This amazing position also offers the following:
1 weekday off per week, 4 weeks annual leave, 1 week’s Study Leave, CPD Allowance and Monday RDO when a weekend is worked.
A state-of-the-art purpose-built hospital
Support beyond compare for difficult cases and surgery. You have access at all times to second opinions, along with case rounds discussions during our midday break
Incorporating Melbourne Bulldog Clinic (MBC), there is the potential to learn the unique and rewarding aspects of brachycephalic health, both medically and surgically - An extremely interesting case load from routine to emergency medicine and surgery
Being a busy advanced clinic (positioned between a general practice and specialist centre), you have the opportunity to pursue your interest in medicine, emergency or surgery to whatever level you like
We can offer visa support and sponsorship for eligible international veterinarians! Also, a relocation allowance if you're eligible for international Veterinarians.
Most consultations are 30 minutes giving far greater time for dedicated attention
A 1.5 hour pause in the middle of the day. This is where we all stop for lunch, relaxation, rounds and interesting case discussion. We concentrate on stress-free, high-quality rewarding care. This also ensures an enjoyable day that gets you home on time.
What we are looking for:
BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in Australia, with at least minimum of 5 plus years of experience as a practicing GP veterinarian or Veterinary Surgeon.
Willingness to learn, grow and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
Keen interest in developing personal skills and the skills of our team.
Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as an integral part of our team.
Passion to drive exceptional standards of care throughout the team.
Good sense of humour and willingness to contribute to a fun working environment.
We feel the combination or our unique facility, range of cases seen, colleague support and the way we structure our day with no routine consultations from 2.00-3.30pm every day, allows our vets to be the very best they can.
The unique 1.5-hour midday pause allows a true lunch break, catch up time so you get home on time, and relaxed case discussion for hospital rounds and any challenging cases you may have.
