Full Time Ophthalmology Nurse

Location: Southern Suburbs. 

Full time: 38 hour week 

  

Have you been fantis-eye-sing about a new role? Perth Animal Eye Hospital is seeking an experienced, self-motivated veterinary nurse to join our energetic, dynamic team. We pride ourselves on our hard-working team ethic and providing the best care possible for our client's pets.   

  

Due to changes within our specialist veterinary team, we are looking for another great nurse to join us to help us manage the increase in demand for our services. 

This full-time position is based in a busy ophthalmology referral hospital (the only one in WA) in the Southern Suburbs, which currently has 2 specialists, 1 resident, and 5 nurses. Our purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and anaesthesia equipment. We believe in giving our nurses opportunities for growth and utilising them to their full potential. 

  

The working hours will be 38 hours worked Monday- Friday between 7:30 – 6:30 pm with an on-call roster of one weekend every 5 to 6 weeks. The on-call roster is for emergencies only, as we are not open for routine appointments during the weekend, yay! There is more than meets the eye with this position, as it will cover a range of aspects of surgical nursing, anaesthesia, customer service, patient care, and of course, ophthalmology.  

  

The right candidate will possess: 

1.      Certificate IV in vet nursing or equivalent 

2.      Minimum 2 years' experience 

3.      VSB registered. 

4.      Great work ethic 

5.      The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a close working relationship with your fellow teammates. 

6.      Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff at all levels of the organisation. 

7.      An amazing 'can do' team player attitude.
