Hurlstone Park Veterinary Hospital is a well-established small-animal practice with a warm, community-focused reputation. Our passionate team is committed to providing exceptional veterinary care and outstanding client service. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to guide our clinic operations and support our talented veterinarians and nurses.

The Role
As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the hospital, ensuring smooth operations and a positive workplace culture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and mentoring a close-knit team of vets, nurses, and reception staff

  • Overseeing rosters, recruitment, onboarding, and staff development

  • Driving excellent client service standards and maintaining strong client relationships

  • Monitoring clinic performance, budgeting, and inventory control

  • Implementing and improving policies, procedures, and workplace health & safety

About You
You’re a natural leader with strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for supporting both people and pets. You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a veterinary, medical, or similar practice management role

  • Certificate IV in Vet Nursing preferred but not essential

  • Excellent communication and team-building abilities

  • Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting and reporting

  • A proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement

  • Flexibility and a hands-on attitude to meet the needs of a busy clinic
