As Contracts Manager at Veson Nautical you will work as a key member of the Legal Department to support a number of key initiatives for a fast-growing global technology company offering a SaaS-based software platform for the commercial maritime industry. In this role, you will support internal clients throughout the organization on managing commercial contracts for SaaS and related services. Duties include supporting the contract administration lifecycle, responding to inbound requests, and contract review, interpretation, and negotiation.

This is a full time position with Veson’s Legal Department, which is primarily located in our office in the Boston Seaport District.

·         Draft and negotiate customer contracts (SaaS), with attention to detail.  Coordinate with Finance and Orders team as necessary.

·         Redline and negotiate Data Protection Agreements.  Coordinate with Cybersecurity and Engineering teams as necessary.

·         Assist in identifying and implementing processes related to contract review and management

·         Assist in reviewing and analyzing current customer contracts for non-standard terms

·         Assist with drafting and management of template commercial documents, e.g. NDAs and sales templates, as well as other key knowledge management initiatives

·         Partner with internal teams, such as Finance, Sales,  Engineering, and Product to provide legal support

·         Provide assistance as otherwise needed to support the needs of a growing tech company

·         5+ years of in-house experience as a paralegal/contracts manager at a B2B SaaS company

·         Ability to distill and relay complex legal and technical concepts to internal stakeholders

·         Experience with managing large, complicated agreements

·         Sound judgment and positive can-do attitude

·         Self-motivated and able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision

·         CIPP Certification or similar is a plus
