Job Summary
Versa Networks is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and tech-savvy Business Development Representative - MSP Partnerships to expand our Managed Service Provider (MSP) ecosystem. In this role, you’ll prospect, recruit, and engage with MSPs who want to partner with Versa Networks to deliver leading SASE, SD-WAN, and SSE solutions to their customers. You’ll be on the front lines building the pipeline of new MSP partners, using creative outbound strategies, targeted outreach, and consultative conversations to drive growth. It’s your goal to set up an initial meeting between a potential MSP Partner prospect and Versa’s MSP Channel Account Executive.
Responsibilities
- Partner with MSP Channel Account Executives to design strategies for recruiting new Managed Service Providers into the Versa partner ecosystem Bullet
- Identify, research, and prospect MSPs and their key decision-makers (CEOs, CTOs, Partner Managers, Network Professionals, Security Professionals)
- Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls and personalized LinkedIn/email outreach to engage potential MSP partners
- Respond quickly to all inbound leads from potential MSP partners, ensuring fast, accurate and thorough follow up
- Qualify MSP prospects by identifying their business models, customer needs, and alignment with Versa’s SASE, SD-WAN, and SSE solutions
- Schedule discovery meetings and introductions with MSP executives and Versa’s channel sales team
- Use a consultative sales approach to educate prospects on the business value of adding Versa to their managed services portfolio
- Handle objections with confidence while positioning Versa’s unique partner value proposition
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with prospects to drive ongoing interest and engagement
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and partner activity in Salesforce, tracking performance and optimizing strategies
- Continuously refine outbound prospecting techniques based on data, feedback, and market trends
- Share best practices, collaborate with teammates, and contribute to Versa’s growing MSP channel program
Qualifications
- Clear track record of overachievement in college or career Bullet point
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in prospecting into Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and/or Value Added Resellers (VARs) is preferred
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Motivation, drive and self-starting attitude
- Extremely coachable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to understand customer needs and meet that need with a successful product sale
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Location: Remote USA – Mountain Time Zone or Pacific Time Zone

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range of $80,000 to $90,000. A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
