THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investor Reporting and working within the Investor Reporting group, this individual will be responsible for maintaining the financial records for all investment entities and for preparing periodic investor reports. In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in projects to create and enhance existing reporting and further develop their analytical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare month-end closing entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare quarterly, sale, and other one-time investor distributions
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, year-end files
  • Prepare periodic investor reports for internal management and external investors
  • Maintain and update finance and investor information within the investor database
  • Participate in efforts to re-engineer internal processes to improve functionality and efficiency
  • Ad hoc projects and requests

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or business with 2-4 years of work experience in accounting/audit/financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Natural curiosity and willingness to dig into the detail and learn new skills
  • Aptitude to leverage technology to gain efficiencies and improve processes
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL, VBA and database tables is considered an asset
  • Previous experience working with the Investran, Dynamo and Oracle is an asset
  • Experience in real estate or asset management is preferred
