        THE OPPORTUNITY:

        The Head of Training & Development serves as the enterprise leader responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving the learning and development strategy for all onsite and corporate Multifamily team members. This executive drives workforce capability, operational consistency, and performance outcomes through innovative training programs aligned with company goals.

        KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

        Strategic Leadership

        • Define and execute a comprehensive training strategy that elevates operational performance and supports company objectives.
        • Evaluate organizational skill gaps and implement programs that drive measurable improvement.
        • Create a long-term learning roadmap supporting career paths and leadership development.

        Program Design & Delivery

        • Oversee design and implementation of training programs for leasing, property management, maintenance, corporate support, and onboarding.
        • Ensure content reflects Fair Housing requirements and operational best practices.
        • Modernize delivery using ILT, VILT, e-learning, and micro-learning.

        Operational & Portfolio Impact

        • Partner with Operations / Technical Services to identify performance trends and training needs.
        • Implement performance measurement tools to track effectiveness.
        • Support transitions, acquisitions, and new developments with tailored onboarding.

        • Build and lead a high-performing training team.
        • Create a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.

        Cross-Functional Collaboration

        • Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, and HR on key initiatives.

        CANDIDATE PROFILE      

        • 10+ years of training or operational leadership experience.
        • Multifamily experience would be an asset.
        • Strong understanding of operations and industry systems.
        • Proficiency with LMS platforms and modern learning technologies.

        • Team Leadership & Talent Development - Builds and leads a high-performing training organization; fosters a culture of continuous learning.
        • Change Management & Influence - Drives adoption of new systems, processes, and organizational initiatives through effective training.
        • Data-Driven Decision Making - Uses KPIs and performance analytics to evaluate training impact and address skill gaps.
        • Communication & Executive Presence - Communicates clearly, presents to leadership effectively, and aligns stakeholders across functions.
        • Customer Experience Orientation - Designs training that elevates resident satisfaction and supports operational excellence.
        • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partners with Operations, HR, Marketing, Technology, and other departments to support company initiatives.
        • Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Continuously enhances training content, delivery methods, and learning technologies.
