THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Investor Relations to join our dynamic team. This individual, reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations, will utilize strong hands-on FP&A skills to play a key role in the Investor Relations function, drive effective communication with investors, and oversee SEC compliance and investor marketing. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background in modelling, forecasting, and investor return/metric reporting. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build financial models to forecast investor returns and ad hoc analyses
- Review investor holdings valuations and return metrics, and review property appraisals and determine their impact on valuations
- Work closely with Investor Reporting team to ensure smooth quarterly investor reporting and distribution process, including determination of distribution and capital call amounts, and review of property performance letters
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulatory requirements, including review of regulatory filings and disclosures, and keep abreast of regulatory updates and industry best practices
- Work with marketing team to revamp investor reporting packages and ensure compliance in marketing materials
- Comply with all policies and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or relevant field.
- 7+ years progressive financial and leadership responsibilities within investor relations, finance or capital markets.
- Strong analytical abilities, a solid foundation in corporate finance, financial and investment terminology, and expertise in building and supporting complex financial models, developing & monitoring metrics, and preparing advanced analytic analysis.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to translate company strategies into transparent, clear and concise messaging.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of SEC laws and securities disclosure and filing requirements is an asset; Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
