ROLE: Roving Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO: Regional Maintenance Manager
LOCATION: Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas Region
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Roving Maintenance Technicians provide support to the Regional Maintenance Managers and the Maintenance Managers at the communities they are assigned to support while assuming a leadership role in their absence. They provide quality service to our residents, diagnose problems, and make repairs. They are responsible for routine and preventative maintenance repairs, as well as ensuring that Venterra's 48-Hour Service Guarantee is adhered to when completing service requests.
The ideal candidate for this role will require EPA Universal or Type I or II HVAC certification, have the flexibility to report on short notice to our neighboring Dallas/Ft. Worth Communities with reliable transportation and effective verbal communication skills with residents and team members.
The Roving Maintenance Technician’s role requires a wide range of various maintenance needs to assist on-site maintenance teams in the day-to-day operations of their properties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Appliance Repair
- Locks & Keys
- Basic Carpentry
- Painting and Drywall Repair
- Janitorial, Grounds
Requirements of the Position:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
- Excellent customer service skills are a must
- Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field
- On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays; Required as needed
- Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Reliable vehicle
- Responsible for supporting multiple communities
