IT Helpdesk Engineer

The Role: We are seeking an analytical and personable IT Helpdesk Engineer to join our Global IT Support team. Their main responsibility is to provide support for company (internal) users in various domains, particularly with enterprise desktop, laptop, virtual machines, and mobile devices.  

The Responsibilities: 

  • Assume direct ownership over problem resolution in a timely manner 
  • Analyze and resolve user issue within 1st user contact via phone or remote session when possible, escalate when appropriate
  • Manage problem determination through creative troubleshooting
  • Express care and concern for the users needs throughout the entire support cycle to instill confidence in the users and ease concern regarding difficulties experienced
  • Maintain high standard of communication through all methods including and not limited to phone, remote sessions, or in-person interactions

  

The Requirements: 

  • Possess at least 2 years of experience in the helpdesk field (“high tech” and enterprise-scale is an advantage)
  • Knowledge in Microsoft systems – Windows 11 and Office 365, as well as Active Directory, GPO, and Exchange user management
  • Experience with Teams and Zoom platforms
  • Familiarity and knowledge regarding SCCM and Intune, PowerShell (Advantage), client networking (such as TCP-IP, DNS – client-side)
  • Maintain understanding of intricacies regarding VPN connections and functions
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software issues
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate with team members and assist with troubleshooting in the English language through varied forms of communication such as written, verbal, remotely over the phone, in-person, etc. 
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize urgent requests in relation to additional responsibilities
  • High human relations awareness; intentionally patient and kind
  • User service oriented and ability to provide white glove service
