HR & Office Operations Generalist
For our new office in Vancouver Canada, we are looking for someone who likes to do it all.
Office Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day office management activities.
- Manage relationships with building management, vendors, and service providers.
- Coordinate office space planning, supplies, equipment, and workplace services.
- Manage local office budgets and expenses.
- Ensure the office is professional, welcoming, and aligned with company standards.
- Support business continuity and operational readiness for the office.
People & Employee Experience
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees in Canada.
- Build trusted relationships across the organization and maintain a strong understanding of employee sentiment and team dynamics.
- Identify and proactively surface employee engagement, morale, retention, or culture concerns.
- Partner with managers and HR leadership to address employee relations issues and workplace challenges.
- Help ensure employees and managers are operating in accordance with company values and behavioral standards.
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new hires.
Culture & Engagement
- Organize office events, celebrations, volunteer activities, team-building initiatives, and leadership visits.
- Create opportunities to strengthen collaboration, community, and employee engagement.
- Gather informal employee feedback and provide thoughtful insights to leadership.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Experience, Office Management, or a related role.
- Experience operating independently in a startup, scale-up, or small-office environment.
- Strong employee relations instincts and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility quickly.
- Sound judgment and the confidence to address difficult situations professionally.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience within a technology company is preferred.
