What You’ll Do
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong background in Laravel (current versions) and MySQL. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience developing with Laravel, and a proven record of launching or contributing to commercial-grade products.
This role requires someone who stays current with evolving frameworks, writes clean and maintainable code, and thrives in a collaborative environment where products are built for scale and impact.
A Day in the Life
- Architect, design, and develop scalable web applications using Laravel and MySQL.
- Lead or contribute significantly to the launch of commercial products, from planning to deployment.
- Build and integrate APIs, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Optimize database queries and schema for high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to define requirements and deliver features.
- Write unit tests, conduct peer code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest Laravel and PHP ecosystem advancements and recommend improvements to architecture and processes.
- Deploy applications and maintain CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with DevOps as needed.
What You Must Have
- 5+ years of professional development experience with Laravel (versions 8, 9, or newer).
- Demonstrated experience in launching commercial products or contributing to the development of enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
- Expert-level knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, indexing, optimization, and query performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Vue.js/React preferred).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab).
- Experience with modern development practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
What You Might Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Docker or containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of queue systems (Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.) and caching strategies.
- Previous experience in regulated or data-sensitive industries.
