What You’ll Do  

The Senior Business Systems Manager will have primary responsibility for the planning, implementing, managing and running of all systems across the group.  This includes PSA, ERP, HRIS and others utilized, ensuring all systems are built and utilized with efficiency, effectiveness, adoptability and ensure positive ROI. 

You will be able to discuss technical system terms with a developer and liaise with group personnel in creating solutions. In addition, you will work closely with finance, project management, executives, and other relevant users to ensure all system processes, system improvements, training, and reports (both system and custom built via excel formulas), are customized for and designed for the users. 

This position requires strong functional analytical skill, technical competence working with business software applications. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual who understands the importance of maintaining consistency and standardization. You must be customer service oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with end users. 

You must understand project management and be able to motivate others and provide guidance with team members, have strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up, be a team player with proven ability to work well under pressure, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be capable of handling confidential information in a professional and discreet manner, and lastly, have the ability to work with cross-functional teams with high attention to detail. 

A Day in the Life  

  • Be the liaison/primary contact between Vaniam teams and the system’s technical teams 
  • Work with key stakeholders to document current processes for major financial, regulatory and accounting systems 
  • Convert process improvements recommendations to actionable, functional requirements 
  • Work with external vendors and IT to develop data integration interfaces to internal and external systems 
  • Build Quality Assurance efforts (test planning and execution) for periodic releases and new systems implementations 
  • Create systems documentations including, business requirements documents, functional designs, user manuals, test scripts, test plans and training materials 
  • Assist users in large data migration efforts as a result of potential acquisitions and/or systems upgrades and implementation 
  • Inform management of potential problems and identify problem trends 
  • Ensure all systems and processes are documented in accordance with SOX compliance regulations 
  • Responsible for either directly or indirectly training all users both in-person and remotely in systems 
  • Ability to investigate, analyze and problem solve as well as clearly communicate results through written and verbal communications 
  • Ability to be proactive and solution-oriented with the ability to think ahead to make proposals and recommendations to deliver solutions 
  • Ability to be patient and understanding with the ability to explain complicated technical situations in simple terms to finance users of all levels of management  
  • Work with Finance and other relevant teams on all offline reporting to ensure reporting is up-to-date with revenue recognition standards. 
  • Other duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role. 

 

What You Have  

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related degree 
  • PSA / ERP Implementation experience  
  • 5-10 years of professional IT experience, specifically in systems/business analysis, PSA/ERP Implementation and support  
  • Basic SQL skills 
  • Strong analytical skills, specifically, the ability to elicit thorough requirements and translate them to technical and functional specifications. 
  • Strong Business Process re-engineering and documentation skills  
  • Ability to perform diagnostics, identify problems and provide resolutions 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Able to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities. 
  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) 
  • Experience working with collaboration tools such as Egnyte, Slack, and Zoom 

What You Might Have, but isn’t required 

  • Medical communications agency experience 
  • Experience with Workfront, Salesforce, SAGE Intacct, Jobvite, Vena 
  • Experience with Event Management Systems such as Cvent

Salary offers are based upon several factors including experience, education, skills, training, demonstrated qualifications, location, and organizational need. The range for this role is $115,000 - $155,000. Salary is one component of the total earnings and rewards package offered.
