What You’ll Do

You have developed senior executive and C-suite connections and gained deep insight into the business dynamics of a complex middle-market B2B enterprise. You are confident in designing and creating IT strategy, while helping to shape agendas and guide solutions to address organizational impacts brought on by evolving technology. You have experience scaling a midsize organization that is in a rapid growth phase. You thrive on leveraging your breadth and depth of experience in technology and IT operations along with a passion to understand and leverage current and emerging digital transformation, cloud, and engagement-related technology trends to enhance client solutions and experience. You possess the ability to develop and strengthen relationships with decision-makers and influencers in the organization and to drive technology adoption at all levels.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Engage with and assist fellow senior executives in transforming the organization and providing strategic counsel to executives with respect to the IT landscape.
  • Design and lead the implementation of our technology strategy while ensuring the implementation and enforcement of technology standards across the organization.
  • Advocate and communicate technology capabilities internally and externally, including leadership, Board of Directors, customers, clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Provide technical leadership at the enterprise level and serve an integral role in operations and business development.
  • Develop objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.
  • Lead your team in identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions and partnerships to meet current and future needs. Develop strong partnerships and external relationships with IT vendors.
  • Assist in the development and management of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and technology operations.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
  • Work closely with Client Solutions, Scientific Communications, Business Development, and Operations teams to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
  • Other duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role.

 

What You Have

  • Previous working experience as a Senior IT Executive or Chief Architect role for 5-7 years
  • Experience scaling a midsize organization
  • MA in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar relevant field
  • Breadth and depth of experience in technology and IT operations with a deep understanding at an executive level of organizational structures, systems, architectures, and a clear understanding of how the pharmaceutical industry operates, including regulatory, competitive and market influences that drive decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with complex project management 
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Attention to details

 

The Team You’ll Work Closest With

You will work alongside and support the entire organization, but most closely with our Client Solutions, Scientific Communications, Business Development, and Operations teams to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
