What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Director of Technology Solutions to help champion the Omnichannel Innovation foundational team. You will play a central role in bringing our development capabilities to life in support of the creation of digital and technology solutions for both our biopharmaceutical clients and our internal teams. You will have a pulse on the top trends and emerging technologies, and will support the Omnichannel Innovation foundational team in bringing new and innovative ideas to Vaniam Group.  You will serve as both the internal and client-facing technical expert, partnering with teams across the company to develop technology solutions to fit client needs, and will work to ensure platforms and technical solutions being leveraged are up to standards. You will seek to optimize Vaniam Group’s digital services, processes, deliverables, internal resources, and advise for necessary changes or improvements.


A Day in the Life

  • Partner with the Omnichannel Innovation foundational team to support in developing new capabilities and solutions, establishing best practices, maintaining reliable systems, and managing the Vaniam Group developer vendor partners and contractors
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and conduct ongoing research on top trends to bring new innovations and processes to Vaniam Group
  • Serve as a technical expert representative across teams and clients, working closely with the development vendor partners and overseeing contractors to ensure a high standard of quality and delivery; lend technical expertise and strategic consultancy when required
  • Develop Vaniam Group build processes and work with the VP, Information Technology to assess and vet platforms leveraged by internal teams and ensure they are up to standards as defined by the Vaniam Group IT deparment
  • Research, recommend, advise, and validate technical solutions to ensure they meet client and internal requirements
  • Conduct technical solutions planning, including streamlining processes so that the business operates at maximum efficiency, analyzing operations, reviewing in-house/outsource capabilities, and providing cost-effective solutions, to deliver projects
  • Lead and conduct technical requirements gathering and documentation; work with vendor development teams and contractors to specify and deliver against these requirements
  • Participate in client discussions with the expectation to communicate technology and strategy clearly and tactfully with clients
  • Serve as Client IT liaison, responsible for client relations with regards to technical queries and a key escalation point for issues
  • Participate in New Business involvement when required or specified by Executive Director, Omnichannel Innovation
  • Other duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role
  • Assist with training and recruitment of new staff members



What You Must Have

  • 8+ years of related technology experience
  • 3+ Experience working directly within a digital creative agency environment, specializing in healthcare
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience demonstrating ability to manage people effectively
  • Experience with software/technology management
  • Working knowledge of development best practices and standards
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, .NET, SQL Server, PHP, MYSQL, WordPress (and other CMS platforms), Google Analytics, Veeva Products, and Kinsta (or Server environments)
  • Ability to combine technical knowledge with creative instinct to come up with original solutions for clients
  • Client facing and new business experience
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and focused listening skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills at all levels
  • A quick learner/self-starter and results oriented attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree
  • Ability to travel (US and ex-US) based on client needs, 10- 15%


What You Might Have, but isn’t required

  • Experience working in a completely virtual environment
  • Experience working in Medical Communications
  • Knowledge of off the shelf technical solutions and or platforms

The Omnichannel Innovation team expands the boundaries of medical communications, building on our legacy of oncology expertise and HCP connectivity with strategic, interconnected, state-of-the-art digital and interactive experiences. With our Omnichannel approach, we will focus our efforts on a cross-channel strategy, seamlessly integrating content on and offline to provide consistency across multiple, well-considered touchpoints during the user’s journey. You will work closely with Omnichannel, Client Solutions, Scientific Communications, IT Operations, and Business Development to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
