Position Job Title: Director of Admissions  

Location: On site, Lower Mainland, BC 

Reports To: Associate Vice President of Admissions  

Job Status: Full-time, permanent, must be eligible to work in Canada   

Compensation: Starting from $80,000 annually + comprehensive benefits + 50% bonus.

For suitable candidate up to $90,000 annually

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

The purpose of the Director of Admissions (DOA) is sourcing, coaching/mentoring, and managing an Admissions team within a Region, to help ensure the Region meets or exceeds the enrollment targets for the Company.

Key Responsibilities: 

    The DOA will be responsible for the following:

    1. Providing leadership to their assigned team of Admissions Advisors (up to 30), through:
    2. Hiring, training, developing and coaching/mentoring Admissions staff to maximize sales and ensure all sales staff achieve targets.
    3. Managing and communicating with staff in situations of conflict and change, including performance management of underperforming staff.
    4. Coordinate group and individual training and systems implementation.
    5. Continuously monitoring and analyzing student enrollment data to guarantee responsiveness to issues through:
    6.  Reviewing, implementing, and maintaining objectives and goals.
    7. Reporting weekly enrollment and department updates.
    8. Recommending progressive and challenging targets for growth.
    9. Collaborating with all departments (HR, Academics, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to ensure the Company achieves enrollment goals.
    10.  Building opportunity networks with others in the community, resulting in increased visibility of the organization
    11. Other duties as assigned by management

    WHY YOU? 

    To be successful in the DOA position, individuals must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following.

    Education and Experience:

    Ÿ Degree, diploma or certificate in Business or a related field.

    Ÿ At least two (2) years’ sales management experience in a results driven, service oriented, fast paced environment.

    Ÿ Sales experience (and preferably Sales management experience) with emotionally driven sales decisions, and within a high volume sales environment (a high volume of calls and a high volume of leads)

    Skills and Abilities:

    Ÿ Proven sales performance history

    Ÿ Proven success in coaching/mentorship and training

    Ÿ Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals with integrity, empathy and sincerity

    Ÿ Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task

    Ÿ Proven self-starter and problem solver

    Ÿ Must be deadline driven and goal-oriented

    Ÿ A positive attitude and customer focused approach

    Ÿ Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion

    Ÿ The ability to work independently and effectively manage your work schedule and hours to meet the needs of your staff and the business; this includes frequently working evenings and weekends as required

    Ÿ Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

    Ÿ Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities

    Ÿ The ability to travel within your assigned Region, which includes possessing a class 5 drivers license and a vehicle

    Ÿ The ability to travel outside your Region on an infrequent basis (maximum 10% of time)
