Compensation: $33K - $36/hr
Job Type: Part time, ongoing

Your Day to Day:

Specifically, the “Practical Nursing Instructor” will be responsible for:  
  • Delivering instruction that meets course and program learning outcomes as set out in the curriculum.
  •  Evaluating student performance fairly and consistently
  • Contributing to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
  • Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience.
  • Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards.
  • Participating in College and Program Activitie
 
What You Bring to the Table:

  • Hold a current practicing license as an LPN with BCCNM.
  • Possess or be willing to pursue credentials in adult education from an accredited post-secondary institution, such as the Provincial Instructor Diploma (PID) or an equivalent as per the BC Transfer Guide  (those in progress must have an identified completion date).
  • Have a minimum of three years of recent, relevant practice experience, equivalent to full-time hours per year.
  • Meet specific position qualifications as required by program design and approval for course instruction, including relevant industry skills and knowledge, ongoing professional development, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate advanced oral and written communication skills, the ability to motivate and inspire students, high standards of behavior and professionalism, collaboration with other instructors and staff, and the ability to respond to student needs and provide equitable feedback.
