Instructional Faculty Universal Application (2026-27 School Year)  
This position offices in-person, on campus

  • Provide outstanding classroom instruction in the subject matter being taught, whether in the areas of Academics (Humanities, STEM, etc), or Arts & Media (Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Recording Arts, Journalism, etc.)
  • Seamlessly and deliberately integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into curriculum and instruction
  • Implore meaningful instructional techniques and texture in the classroom to engage a variety of learning styles and promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation
  • Provide a learning environment and classroom management style built upon mutual respect and conducive to student learning
  • Understand the curriculum of a wide range of courses (college preparatory, honors, dual-credit, AP, etc.)
  • Collaborate with your department’s team to develop and deliver consistent assessments and sound instruction

  • Invest in the lives of students through Life Groups, senior prayer partners, and other mentorship opportunities

RESULTS  
Because of a Valor Christian High School faculty member’s incredible work, students will grow in their spiritual formation by fostering regular experiences of God’s love, encouraging engagement with Scripture, nurturing wise character and discernment, and guiding them toward active participation in Christian community both within and beyond Valor. The faculty member will support college preparedness by developing students’ verbal, written, and technological communication skills, cultivating critical thinking, research, and analytical abilities, and ensuring students gain the competencies needed to pursue their college and career aspirations. Additionally, students will have meaningful cultural engagement by faculty promoting Christlike leadership, compassion and service, strengthening students relational intelligence across diverse communities, equipping them to thoughtfully navigate and respond to contemporary cultural issues, and inspiring them to pursue their unique passions with excellence to influence the world for Christ.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES  
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subject(s) to be taught
  • Advanced Degree in a related area to the subject(s) being taught is preferred
  • Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
  • Desire to teach and/or experience within Christian education
PHYSICAL DEMANDS  
The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT  
The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.

HOURS PER WEEK: Full-time, Exempt

PAY RANGE: $53,000 - $75,000/year (Dependent on department posting and candidate experience)
